Card Evaluation

Cultivate will (1) reveal two basic lands from your library, (2) put one onto the battlefield, (3) put another into your hand, and (4) shuffle your library.

Cultivate gives you access to more mana as early as turn 4. 

​

Search for lands that produce mana of colors you haven't played.

​

Having Cultivate in your deck also decreases your deck's land count without decreasing the land count of your starting hand. 

​

So, if your deck has 24 lands, you can think of Cultivate as having effectively reduced it to something closer to 23 lands.

​

However, when you play Cultivate, you reduce the probability of drawing a land on subsequent draw steps.
